Discover Our History is an interactive touch screen, timeline visitor experience. The timeline allows the visitor to explore key dates and the rich media of the North West Shelf Project’s history. The touch active screen encourages the visitor to select, touch and swipe backwards and forwards in time, in search of key project milestones and points of interest.
Selected information nodes display underlying content and use contemporary UI gestures to scale and navigate images, video and historic documents. A user-friendly local CMS platform was also incorporated to enable the centre staff to amend, update and add content to the application in the future. The screen is set into a unique black glass fascia, cabinetry housing with supporting, back lit interpretation to inform and attract the visitor to the exhibit from a distance.
